1. Warranties & Returns

1a. Warranty Coverage

Demolition Traders Limited warrants that all products are in good working order at time of purchase, in accordance with the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993, unless otherwise specified in the sales listing 'as is', or in the receipt.

1b. Limitation of Liability

Demolition Traders Limited limits its warranty on all goods strictly to product replacement up to the value shown on the receipt. This warranty does not cover remedial work, workmanship costs, or transport/shipping expenses.

1c. 30-Day Right of Return

Demolition Traders Limited offers a 30-day right of return, provided items are returned in the exact same condition as at the time of purchase. At such time the warranty expires on general goods. A 15% restocking fee will apply to all approved returns.

1d. Shipping of Goods Arranged by DTL

In the case of lost or damaged items the customer will need to notify Demolition Traders immediately of issues. All claims will be made with third party carriers to recover losses.

2. New Aluminium Joinery Third-Party Warranties

2a. New 'Standard' Aluminium Joinery

Excludes one-off items and near-new items.

A 10-year manufacturer's warranty applies to standard aluminium windows and aluminium doors, subject to the following conditions:

• A valid proof of purchase (receipt) is provided.
• The joinery is properly cared for and maintained.
• The joinery is installed within 3 months of purchase.
• Installation is completed by a Licensed Building Practitioner (LBP) builder in accordance with WGANZ guidelines. WGANZ Installation Guide
• NZ North Island warranty coverage only.
• Demolition Traders does not provide advice for product application or product suitability for projects. Advice on Building Consent requirements & H1 calculations need to be obtained from a licensed builder before the purchase of joinery. H1 calculations and Producer Statements are site specific & therefore unavailable to be matched with already made joinery.

2b. Warranty Breakdown by Component

• Powder coating: 15 years
• Glass (Argon filled Gas): 12 years
• Manufacturing / Workmanship: 5 years
• Hardware: 2 years
• Residential application only

3. Structural Plywood Third-Party Warranties

3a. Warranty Scope & Limitation

A 10-year warranty applies to treated structural plywood, strictly limited to product replacement only. This warranty does not cover remedial work, workmanship, or transport and shipping costs.

3b. Claim Requirements

To qualify for a warranty claim:

• A valid proof of purchase (receipt) must be provided.
• The product must be clearly identifiable as the plywood sold by Demolition Traders.
• The defect must be substantial and directly affect the building's structural integrity (superficial or visual blemishes are excluded).

3c. Installation & Maintenance Conditions

This warranty applies only if the plywood is:

• Installed by a Licensed Building Practitioner (LBP) builder using fit-for-purpose fixings.
• Properly sealed and painted with suitable products and well-maintained over time.
• Not cut with exposed edges left untreated & unpainted.
• Not subjected to water leaks, excessive moisture, less than 600mm above ground or used outside the scope of its intended design purpose including extreme coastal proximity.

3d. Non-Structural & Downgrade Plywood

NIL Warranty. Non-structural and downgrade plywood products are sold as-is with no warranty coverage. These products are not intended for structural applications.

4. Polycarbonate & PVC Roofing Third-Party Warranties

All roofing warranties are provided directly by the respective manufacturers and are strictly subject to installation in full accordance with their official installation guides.

4a. SolarShield Corrugated Polycarbonate (Clear & Tinted)

• Supplier: Mulford Plastics
• Warranty Coverage: Up to 10 years manufacturer warranty (covering loss of light transmission and weather resistance).
• Limitation: Maximum claim value is limited strictly to the purchase value shown on the receipt.
• Condition: Must be installed following the Mulford Plastics Installation Guide.

4b. Laserlite Polycarbonate (5-Rib Profile)

• Supplier: Alsynite / DuluxGroup
• Warranty Coverage: Manufacturer warranty applies.
• Condition: Must be installed strictly in accordance with the Alsynite / Laserlite Installation Guide.

4c. PVC Sunshade Roofing

• Warranty Coverage: No Manufacturer Warranty.

5. Flashings & Roofing Third-Party Warranties

All warranties are provided by the manufacturer, Dimond Roofing, and are strictly conditional upon installation being completed in full accordance with official Dimond Roofing Installation Guides.

5a. Manufacturer Warranty Duration

• Zincalume Roofing: 15 Years
• Zincalume Flashings: 15 Years
• Galvanised Flashings: 15 Years

5b. Exclusions (No Warranty)

• Coloursteel Seconds: NIL Warranty (Sold as-is)
• Pack Lots Roofing: NIL Warranty (Sold as-is)

5c. Third-Party Manufacturer Warranties (Against Perforation Defect)

• Coastal (less than 1,000m from ocean): NIL
• Greater than 1,000m from ocean: 20 Years
• Greater than 5km from ocean: 25 Years

5d. Terms & Limitations

• Official manufacturer installation standards must be strictly followed.
• Warranty is strictly limited to the value of the original receipt.
• No remedial or labour costs are covered.

6. Timber Certification & Compliance Third-Party Warranties

6a. Treatment & Structural Certification

• Treatment and structural rating certifications can be provided for individual pack lots of timber at the time of purchase.
• For small volumes, limited certification to support durability compliance under the NZ Building Code / NZS 3604 may be obtained where available.

6b. Responsible Sourcing

We source our timber from certified New Zealand mills & third-party agents holding FSC® (Forest Stewardship Council) certification, with exception of downfall offers from time to time.

6c. Technical Advice Disclaimer

Demolition Traders Limited (DTL) does not offer design or application advice. Customers are responsible for ensuring the product is suitable for their specific project and installation requirements.

7. Glasswool Insulation Third-Party Warranties
